Lately, we have been receiving many requests to start lessons at a later date. You may have a trial first with the tutor we have specifically chosen for you, before deciding whether to engage this tutor. This trial is payable, and the fee is used as a deposit to book the tutor.
Frequently Asked Questions
We will contact you within 24 hours upon receiving your request.
There are NO charges for a request! There is no referral fee or matching fee for parents and students. However, we do charge 50% of the 1st month’s tuition fees from the tutors as commission. You would be required to make payment of 50% of the tuition fees after the 2nd week of lesson. Subsequently, you may pay the remaining sum to the tutor directly at the end of the month.
For short-term assignments that will complete in less than a month, tutors may request for parents to absorb the commission instead.
Other terms and conditions may apply if assignments are only to start at a much later date.
You are encouraged to pay via bank transfer (the most recommended option!) or drop us a cheque. An invoice will be emailed to you when payment is due.
Yes, we are glad to replace the tutor for free! However, you are liable to pay for the lessons that were provided. It will be best to try for a month for better assessment of suitability. We constantly get feedback about our tutors, and we are keen to know the reason for replacement.
We pride ourselves in having a selection of undergraduates, former and current MOE mathematics teachers. We personally select these tutors and have verified their credentials. If you would like to verify the math tutor’s qualifications personally, do let us know and we will inform the tutors to bring the necessary documents on the first lesson.
Simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org! Write a brief description of yourself, include your age, gender, qualifications and experience, and send your resume over. We are keen to have undergraduates who would like to explore tutoring and enjoy inspiring children in math, or former or current MOE math teachers looking to hone your skills or supplement your income!
Absolutely not! It is free to register your interest in becoming a Math Tutor.
